Developer Update - Daily Quests

Dear players,

We have already mentioned that we are working on daily quests. Today we will go into more detail about this new mechanic and describe how it will work.

Please keep in mind that everything we are telling you about in this blog is а work in progress. Some features might change by the time daily quests arrive on live servers.

What are daily quests?

Daily quests are small tasks that you complete during matches and get rewards. The base mechanic is as simple as that.

Here are a few details:

  • Every day you will get a quest that will stay active for 3 days. If the quest is not finished during this time, it will be replaced with a new one.
  • You will be able to have 3 active daily quests at the same time. For example, if your  today’s quest isn’t finished, you can continue working on it tomorrow. But, apart from that, you will get a new daily mission. If you’ve already had 3 quests in total, it will replace the oldest one.
  • You will be able to reroll one quest that you don’t particularly like once a day.

Rewards

Completing daily quests will grant you additional EXP. It will help you reach new levels quicker and get crates for level ups more often.

Examples of daily quests

You will need to perform different actions to finish daily quests. Currently we are planning to introduce missions that will include the following types of conditions (wording of in-game quests descriptions may differ from the examples listed below):

  • Deal a certain amount of damage with a certain kind of weapon.
    • E.g. “Deal 1000 damage with an assault rifle” or “Deal 500 damage using a weapon dropped by your enemy”.
  • Perform certain actions during firefights.
    • E.g. “Score 3 headshots”, “Score 15 kills and assists” or “Score 3 kills without dying”.
  • Plant or defuse the bomb.
  • Prove your efficiency within a team.
    • E.g. “Become MVP in 5 rounds”, “Score top-3 within your team in a match” or “Stay alive in 7 rounds”.
  • Kill enemies in certain conditions.
    • E.g. “Kill an enemy blinded by a flash grenade”.
  • Make in-game progress.
    • E.g. “Score a new level”.

If not stated the opposite, your progress of a quest won’t be reset after you finish a match. That makes it possible to complete such quests during several matches.

We will update you as soon as this feature is live. The current plan is to install the update at the beginning of September. It would be great to hear your ideas on daily quests that you’d like to see in Warface: Breakout. Please do not hesitate to share your suggestions!

Yours,

Warface: Breakout Team
